May 2026 - ESSEC “Business & Industry in Africa” Chair strengthens its commitment to Africa’s industrial transformation at the Africa Forward Summit
At the Africa Forward Summit held in Nairobi, the ESSEC “Business & Industry in Africa” Chair reached a new milestone in its mission to support Africa’s economic and industrial development through the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with Africa Global Logistics (AGL), IBL Together, and Vivo Energy.
This alliance reflects a shared ambition among the partners: contributing to the acceleration of Africa’s industrialization by fostering local value creation, strengthening regional ecosystems, and investing in the development of future leaders across the continent.
As Africa continues to position itself as a major driver of global growth, industrial transformation has become a key priority for both public and private stakeholders. In this context, the ESSEC Chair aims to bridge academic expertise and business realities by creating meaningful connections between students, executives, researchers, and industry leaders operating across Africa.
Through this collaboration, the Chair will continue to expand immersive learning experiences and high-level exchanges focused on the continent’s industrial and economic challenges. This includes webinars, executive education initiatives, research dissemination, and direct engagement with leading companies shaping Africa’s future.
The partnership also reinforces the Chair’s commitment to preparing a new generation of responsible and internationally minded leaders capable of addressing the complex challenges linked to industrial development, sustainability, logistics, energy, and regional integration.
By joining forces with AGL, IBL Together, and Vivo Energy, the ESSEC “Business & Industry in Africa” Chair further strengthens its role as a platform for dialogue, knowledge sharing, and action dedicated to Africa’s long-term sustainable and inclusive growth.
We are proud to contribute, alongside our partners, to building stronger bridges between academia and industry and to supporting the emergence of innovative and impactful leadership across the continent.
